Artwork needs work. Both in the asset and composition departments.
SFX and Music buttons behave differently when you click them multiple times in a row.
Is there a reason for that?

Your "Blit Blat" logo is pretty good though. I thought it was a web-game portal sponsor before I clicked on it and ended up on your twitter.

blit-blat responds:

Yeah, I'm not happy with the artwork either, but I'm a programmer, not an artist, so I think I did ok! Thanks for saying my logo looks good though! Any artists out there please do get in touch though!

And no the buttons should be doing different things, can you PM me what they're doing exactly please?

Thanks for the review! :)

Did you do the art for this?
-John Mark

Qamilo responds:

I did the main PJ, actually i'm doing all the art but whit other style.

Interesting vortex effect. How did you do that?
-John Mark

jupitron responds:

Hi, its a sum of layer + sprites webgl effects built in Construct 2.

HereĀ“s a timelapse of the development: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9X4-FJDKEU

I will upload a normal time version soon.

I really like how you made the moving stars effect.

filsdd responds:

Thank you! :D

This will sound weird... But... The background of your game (title screen) has inspired me to make something. I can't tell you what it is... But I know you'll appreciate it. I will try and remember to message
you when it is done. Already about 8 hours into coding it.

Wolod responds:

I'm very impressed! I'm looking forward to take a look at your creation. Keep it up!

Note: As a developer, I've decide to always rate 5 stars so it doesn't look like I am being malicious/jealous.

1. While the asteroids floaty movement is cool and fun to program. I am not sure it helps the game.
2. Have you played a game called "mechanical commander"?
I think that is what it is called. It is on NewGrounds.
You need to reference that game. Seriously.
I think your goal should be to at least match the caliber of that game.
While putting your own graphical and game play twists on your version.

smashriot responds:

Every release the player ship becomes a bit less floaty, and just pushed a new build (v0.4.5) that tightens up the stopping distance a bit more. And I'll look for that mech comm game and give it a spin. Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

I'd give it 5 stars. But I can't keep playing with the arrow keys. I have to constantly pick up the mouse. That is annoying. Other than that, its simple, addictive, easy to pick up. And has a sleek polished UI. Well done!

Upon further inspection. I see "R" does that. Okay. 5 stars for you.
Though, my personal preference would be that pressing any key goes to the next level.
You know, to pander to people like me who don't read directions. :3

-John Mark

VOXStudios responds:

You weren't the first person to complain about that =P

The only reason I didn't do "any key to continue" is because people would already be mashing the keys from playing the game. Didn't want people accidentally getting into something when they didn't want to. I'm considering a more practical key though. Maybe space or something? Thanks for the feedback!

Make this controllable with a keyboard, and you'll have something here.
As it gets into more demanding puzzles, a lot of it is more me fighting with the mouse than
me not knowing what to do.

If it were arrow keys to move over one grid space, and rotate by pressing another button. I think it would be really cool.

kankoli responds:

Thank you for your response!
You have a good point there. I added the arrow key controls and updated the game. Looking forward to more feedback and thank you for playing.

kankoli

I think you have an excellent idea here. But right now it's just a passable "proof of concept".
I see your description mentions this game is in development.
Are you familiar with how to add Beta-Testers to a project?

gomezzara responds:

Thanks "MakeGamesHappen"!
We know that we need that phase of Beta-Testers, we think if we put here our game we can have some good feedback for the next step.
One of the conditions of the course, is to upload the game to a page like Newgrounds, Desura or anything to show the game to the world.

Thanks for the feedback!

A well put together platformer that has a simple enough control scheme to be ported to mobile.
I will look to this for inspiration.

casinojack responds:

Thanks for the kind words mate! I'm really happy you enjoyed it

IS OUR INBOX FULL !?!?!?! Leaving feedback in comments: 1. Helps me save memory in my inbox. 2. Helps us get new testers interested in testing for us.
